A Dream Called Hope
Compassionate Care for Mental Wellness
A Dream Called Hope is a licensed behavioral health residential program dedicated to providing a safe, structured, and trauma-informed environment for youth. Our program combines behavioral health support, therapeutic services, life skills development, educational support, and family engagement to help residents build the skills needed for long-term success. We believe healing happens through meaningful relationships, consistency, and opportunities for personal growth. In addition to traditional therapeutic interventions, our program incorporates animal-assisted experiences that utilize the unique bond between youth and dogs to promote emotional regulation, trust, resilience, and healing from trauma.
Through individualized treatment planning, daily skill-building opportunities, community involvement, and a supportive residential setting, we empower youth to overcome challenges, recognize their strengths, and build a brighter future. Our mission is to transform adversity into opportunity by providing youth with a safe, structured, and nurturing environment where healing and growth can occur. We believe every young person deserves the opportunity to heal, discover their strengths, and build a brighter future filled with purpose and hope.
Our Program Model: PBPK
At A Dream Called Hope, our residential program is guided by the PBPK Program Model, which stands for Perseverance, Balance, Potential, and Kindness. The PBPK model was created to support youth in a structured, trauma-informed environment where safety, stability, healing, accountability, and personal growth are the foundation of care. Through this model, we help youth build emotional regulation, healthy relationships, independent living skills, educational progress, and confidence for their future.
Perseverance
We help youth keep going even when life feels difficult. Through support, structure, therapy, and daily encouragement, residents learn how to work through challenges, build resilience, and keep moving toward their goals.
Balance
We focus on helping youth develop balance in their emotions, behaviors, relationships, school life, routines, and decision-making. Residents learn coping skills, self-regulation, and healthy ways to manage stress.
Potential
Every youth has strengths, talents, and the ability to grow. Our program helps residents recognize their potential, set goals, build life skills, improve school success, and prepare for adulthood.
Kindness
We believe healing happens in safe and supportive relationships. Youth are encouraged to practice kindness toward themselves and others while learning respect, empathy, accountability, and healthy communication.
